Episode 44- Driving Around

Play

This week’s episode takes place on the streets of the High Desert. I had this weird urge to seek out a thrift store in Phelan.

I had seen the thrift store last year, and I’ve been wanting to stop there for a while. When I finally found it, it only led to my allergies and the discovery of racist dolls.

I really should have known better seeing as how Phelan has a stigma of not being racially diverse. The reason I was driving on that side of the tracks was to find vinyl records and Super Nintendo games. Realizing that they didn’t have either of those, I abruptly left to the Salvation Army in Hesperia where I found an older edition of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower III and a Chaka Khan record.
From there I made my way to a store called Video Games on Park Ave in Victorville. Some of you know where it is. The guy was pretty cool and I picked up a copy of Virtual Bart. He’s a cool guy so if you’re looking for an obscure game for Sega Genesis or something, hit him up, because he probably has it.

I hope you guys enjoy this episode, because the journey around this dusty ass town was pretty interesting.
